But the humid winds flow through it. North Atlantic Drift controls the climate of Germany which is north part of Gulf Stream. It has water warmer than the normal to maintain some high temperature in north Germany. The normal temperature of Germany lies less than 30 degree Celsius. In east part of the country the temperature can be very cold in winter season or very hot in summer season due to its continental situation.
Environment:
The government and the people of Germany are very environment friendly. Germany has already signed the Kyoto Protocol and many other agreements related to environment and climate to control environmental changes and reducing global warming effects. Maximum utilization of those resources, which are renewable and. recycling of various waste products are goals of Germany. The government is also considering global warming as a serious problem caused by the people. Germany has agreed for many treaties for low emission standards, bio-diversity, renewable resources of energy etc.
The emission of carbon dioxide per capita of Germany is the highest in the whole Europe but is less than Australia, USA, and Canada etc. because Germany has many big industries as compared to other countries in Europe.
Using coal burning utilities increase the emission of carbon dioxide. Due to sulphur dioxide acid rains are produced. Baltic sea and the rivers of the country are getting polluted due to industrial wastes and sewage. So the government of Germany has now announced to stop or reduce the pollution in the country by various methods. Use of nuclear power for the production of electricity is stopped. The largest capacity wind farm of the world has been installed in Germany which provides 7% of the total power consumption of the country.
