Transportation
Transport and transportation is generally used for the movement of goods and people from one place to another. In the
Germany the public transport is very excellent and the rail network is also very comfortable, fast and reliable. Even
the field of transport takes the numerous aspects which can be divided into the triad of vehicles, operations and
infrastructure.
There are many types of transport in Germany like rail transport, air transport and road and automotive transport.
Rail transport
Generally the rail transport is divided into five parts such as metros, rail links in adjacent countries, S-Bahn. All
these parts are mentioned below:
Rail links in adjacent countries
Deutsche Bahn is the major German of the railway infrastructure and the service operator also. In the Germany, there are
very little bit differences between the financing of short distance or the long distance trains. However, the long distance
type of trains can be run by any Railway Company and they are also a self supporting like. Even the local trains are
subsidized by usually the German states which pay for the operating companies to run these trains.
In the Germany, there is also an ICE (Inter City Express) type of high speed train which is operated by the Deutsche Bahn
and the large cities also especially in the neighboring type of countries like Brussels, Vienna, Amsterdam, Brussels and
Zurich and the most of areas of the rail network provides the excellent service throughout the Germany which is very
extensive. However in the every two hour there is at least one train which will call on the regular lines especially in
the smallest villages and nearly there is all type of larger metropolitan areas which are served by bus networks, U-Bahn,
S-Bahn and Strassenbahn.
Metros
Most of the cities have full-fledged underground U-Bahn systems though a larger number which has upgraded its tramways
into the light rail standards. These types of systems are known as Stadbahn but the main point is that it is not confused
with the S-Bahn because it is normally like an interurban train and it is running on the main rail lines and the main
cities of the U-Bahn systems are: Nuremberg, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Furth and Frankfurt am Main.
S-Bahn
Most of the areas of Germany are like an urban railway which is known as S-Bahn as well as it is in operation. These
trains are generally connected with the larger agglomerations to the suburban areas.
Air transport
The first international airport of the Germany is Frankfurt and the ranks of the Frankfurt airport are among the worlds of
the top ten airports which basically serve around of 304 flights destinations in all over the 110 countries. It is
a globally airport with the largest number of international destination.
The second important international airport of Germany is Munich and the other airports are Hamburg, Berlin Tegel, Berlin
Schonefeld, Cologne-Bonn and Dusseldorf. However the long range travel of taking the plane is very less expensive than by
rail.
Road and automotive transport
The main volume of traffic in Germany is like the goods of transportation which is generally at the very high level due to its central location especially in Europe. In the past few decades there is much of the freight traffic which is shifted
from the rail to road and which is led to the federal government. Individual type of road usage is basically increased the
high resulting kind of density to other nations. However the national types of roads in Germany are known as the
BundesstraBen where the BundesstraBe is referred to the "B" which is followed by its numbers for example B1 which is the
main east-west routes. Moreover the important routes have start with the lower numbers.
